KCC Men's Basketball Falls to Globe

Last night the Wave suffered a 75-90 loss to NJCAA rival Globe Institute of Technology. With this defeat, Kingsborough's record has now fallen to 0-4 in the season.  The game started with a very fast tempo as the teams traded baskets for the first few minutes into the game. The Wave came out and played with energy taking an early 12-10 lead over the locals.  Both teams played hard as displayed by the physical as they batteled for every rebound and every possesion.  A late run by Globe helped them gain a 12 point lead by halftime.  The Wave was led in the first half by Terrence Harwick's 12 points.  

In the second half, Globe extended their lead to 18 points. Wave freshmen forward Tyrese Turner and Guard Che Gonzales fought back with great shooting to give Kingsbrough a good momentum into the game.  Sophmore captain Cyrano Providence who turned in a strong performance with 12 points and 7 assists, picked up a left ankle injury late in the contest, and had to leave the court. He would not return back into the game.

Halfway through the second half, both teams entertained the crowd by performing some extraordinary  highlight  plays.  In the end Globe, globe took over the game, taking a 15 point lead to eventually seal the game on their home court.

The Wave was led by Terrence Hartwick's 18 points, added to the 16 points by Che Gonzales, and 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocked shots by Tyrece Turner.
