In the closing 1:30 of the game the Wave could not convert a basket and lost a tough game to Orange Community College. The Wave were led in scoring by their captain Terrence Hardwick with 26 points.

Freshman Cashawn McFadden contributed 24points for the team. The game was close from the start. Both teams had leads in the first half but Orange took a twelve point lead into the half.

At the start of the second half the wave started slowly, but started to pick up defensively and hit three point shots. With 12:36 left the Wave Trailed by six points. The team continued to fight. Arseniy Shulman was one of the players who lead the charge scoring key buckets and pulling rebounds. Shulman scored a total of 15 points and had 11 rebounds in the contest. Kyrie Fraser also contributed big grabbing 12 total rebounds. In the end the Wave came up short losing 78-79.
