Brian Friedman, Head Coach
Coach Brian Friedman comes to Kingsborough after a 15-year career in high school baseball. A product of the PSAL and CUNY systems, Brian Friedman was a standout pitcher at James Madison High School and then Queens College while studying Physical Education, later earning his master's in Sports Management from Brooklyn College. After playing, Coach Friedman began coaching at Millennium High School, bringing them to the status of perennial contenders. In 2021, Coach Friedman helped relaunch the first John Jay High School baseball team in over 20 years. Within just a few years, John Jay reached the 2024 City Championship at Yankee Stadium and finished the 2025 regular season ranked #1 in NYC.
In addition to coaching at Kingsborough, Coach Friedman will continue to coach with USA Baseball as a Northeast NTIS Coach. He is also very involved in grassroots youth baseball, serving as a Director at Home Run Baseball Camp and Baseball Director of St. Athanasius Youth Sports where he coaches his sons.
Coach Friedman lives in Brooklyn with his beautiful wife Samantha, who is also a proud CUNY alum, and their two sons, Harrison and Henry.
