Brooklyn, NY - Playing with only 9 players on the pitch, The Kingsborough CC Men's Soccer Team have endured another tough lost for the season. with this lost, the Wave's record in Region XV is now 0-9-0.
Despite playing with a reduced roster, the home team managed to break the deadlock early into the game when freshman Midfielder
Jameson Ostine scored for Kingsborough with a magnificent lob from 30 meters which gave no chance to the Dutchess CC Goalkeeper. The Wave were able to keep the lead for a short period of time as Dutchess scored 3 quick goals before the first half ended. All three of these goals came from dropped balls by the Wave's Keeper Jimmy Lanos which allowed the Dutchess forwards to score with the net wide open.
In the second half, Dutchess CC dictated the tempo of the game as the Wave 8 field players regrouped to defend their goal. A scary moment in the game came around the hour mark, when Dutchess CC Midfielder Juan Carlos Gutierrez Collided with Kingsborough
Devorn Charles. Gutierrez left the the field with a shoulder injury and the Kingsborough's Charless got booked for the challenge.
Just moments after the injury timeout, the the Home squad conceided yet another goal, when Forward Marco Ricardi stroke a powerful shot from the 16 meter line that left no chance to Jimmy Lanos at goal.
The Wave's losing streak still continues as the team have 3 more games to end their season. On Monday October 8, the Wave will host Hostos CC at 4pm. The team is looking forward to that game and have hopes to break the losing streak.
