KCC Men's Basketball Captures First Win Over Dutchess CC

Box Score The Kingsborough Men's basketball team won their first game yesterday defeating Dutchess Community College by a score of 94-89. The Wave came out to play in the first half of the game. They took the early and at the half the Wave were winning 46-36. At the start of the game the Wave continued to build on the score and led Dutchess by 15 points in the second half. 

Dutchess did not give up. The locals started to pressure the Wave and forced KCC into 17 second half turnovers and took the lead 84 to 85 with about two minutes left in the game. The Wave then regained the lead when Cashawn McFadden drove to the basket and drew a foul. McFadden hit the 2 crucial free throws and put the Wave in the lead throughout the remainder of the game. 

Kingsborough played with grit and passion from the start, slowed down a ton at about the 12 minute mark of the second half, but found a way to win. Terrence Hardwick led the team with 20 point and Cyrano Providence can off the bench and off injury to score 14 points William Ahrendts added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Wave.
