Wave Baseball Loses to Sharks

Friday's rain really put a damper on things this weekend, delaying play until Sunday for Kingsborough's matchups against Suffolk. The wave would try to avenge Tuesday's loss to Suffolk by sending Joseph Liotta to the hill on Sunday. Liotta threw a strong game, keeping the Wave in the game until the 7th inning when Suffolk  put up a 5 spot. The game ended with a score of 12-4.

In the 2nd game, Suffolk took an early lead and never looked back. The wave had one good inning scoring a pair led by Christopher Armenti's hot hitting. The inning saw Chris rip a triple down the left field line as well as Joseph Liotta line a double over the head of the right fielder. This would be the only bright spot in game 2 of the double header. Friday's game at the  Selden campus has  been rescheduled for Wednesday May 1st.

The boys start a huge series this week against the Bronx. They will be playing the Broncos at home on Tuesday and Friday (4:00 PM start) and will travel to the Bronx for a double header on Saturday. First pitch for game 1 is scheduled for 12 noon. The Wave will send southpaw Michael Cassavella to the mound on Tuesday to try and turn things around in Manhattan Beach.
