Kingsborough CC's men's soccer Falls to Queensborough CC (2-1) despite an early lead in the first half. With this loss, the Wave men's soccer team put themselves in a difficult position in the conference where they currently are ranked 3rd in CC CUNYAC 2013 standings with 1 total point and 1 game left in the conference. Nonetheless, Kingsborough still has a lot to play for in the Region XV playoffs where they still hold a chance to make the playoffs with 6 total games to play in the season.

It all started good for Kingsborough early in the game with great ball pressure and ball movement. In the first quarter of the game, after an assist from Denton Smith, Valentyn Kharko would convert a shot from 20 yards that wouldl give the Wave the lead.

It took the local team some time to react to Kingsborough's lead. With 10 minutes left in the first half Queensborough would equalize following a cross from the right flank that caught Kingsborough's Khondamir Boliev off guard and leave the net empty for the Tigers' forward to slide the ball into the goal.

In the second half, Queensborough took the lead following a miscommunication from the backline that would gave a Queensborough unmark forward an opportunity to score.

Despite the loss Kingsborough looked much improved in defense and solid in the midfield.
