Men's Basketball: BMCC plays spoiler at Wave Home Opener.....

Brooklyn, NY - The BMCC Panthers spoiled the home opener as the wave fell to the visiting Panthers 92 - 74 in front of a energetic crowd. The wave playing its second game of the season found itself down 10 - 0 in the opening five minutes of the game. BMCC playing a uptempo and pressing game applied pressure to the wave leading to turnover and easy points, give BMCC a 23pt half time lead. (55 - 32). Five players for the visitors scored in double figures with Freshman Curtis Smith leading the way with 17 pts.

As the second half begin the wave seem to settled down into their sets and cut into the Panthers 23 point lead to eleven (11) points but that as close as the wave will get all night. Sophomore Asaph Charles 21 pts 13 rebs and freshman Olexandr Bartolomeyev 13 pts 10 rebs  were the only wave in double figures. The wave committed 20 turnovers on their way to their first lost of the season.

The wave will be back in action this weekend at home as they face Bronx C.C on 11/11/17. Tip time is schedule for  3pm.
