Women's Basketball: #9 Lady Wave improve to 14-1 with win over #13 Monroe Bronx Lady Express

Brooklyn, NY - The #9 ranked Kingsborough Lady Wave looked to wrap up another homestand sweep as they hosted the #13 ranked Monroe-Bronx University Lady Express.

In the 1st quarter, Endya Greene would kick oL the game with a nice move inside for two. Jayden Vega added a three early to add to the Wave lead. Other than that much of the Wave's ?rst quarter 
points came in way of free throws, The Wave went to the line as they were fouled 6-times in the ?rst with 9 of their 20 ?rst quarter points would come from the line as the Wave would hold a 20-12 
lead at the end of 1st.

The 2nd quarter was much more of a back-and-forth contest as the Lady Express would shoot 53% from the ?eld. The Wave were showing a solid consistency but still not able to facilitate their offense 
how they liked due to once again being fouled 6-times. The Lady Wave would take the most of their chances at the line as they would convert 11 of 13 from the line. Zakieya Williams in particular 
was phenomenal at the line, converting on all of her opportunities.

Coming out of the half, Endya Greene would continue her phenomenal afternoon insider the paint as  she would not be denied constantly attacking the rim. Zakieya Williams continued her good game, but  they would be consistently fouled once again in the 3rd quarter but would not convert to the  success of the 1st half, they'd go 4-10 from the stripe and would take an 11-point lead into the 
4th, 57-46.

In the 4th, Endya Greene and Kayla Wilson would dominate in the paint. Endya Greene continuing to  press the issue on the Express, whether it's getting the points inside or getting fouled. Kayla 
Wilson as well has some nice post moves inside as well as some baseline jumpers to help the Wave  pull away and defeat the Express by a ?nal score of, 79-66.

The Lady Wave have extended their historic winning streak to 12-consecutive games and now sit at  14-1 on the season. They'll be back in action again on, December 18th and 19th as they head up to 
Boston for their ?nal games of the calendar year as they'll take on Northern Essex Lady Knights on the 18th, and the Bunker Hill Lady Bulldogs on the 19th.
