Manhattan, NY - The Kingsborough Wave seek their 3rd straight win as they traveled to BMCC to take on the Panthers.
Kingsborough started strong in their matchup against BMCC, establishing dominance early with a balanced offensive attack and aggressive defense. Jace set the tone with the opening bucket, followed by a three from
Torian Douglas.
Kevar Samuels made his presence felt in the paint, converting an early and-one, while
Oliver Reyes Jr. and Saquon Roberts capitalized on tough finishes inside.
Abdoul Toure added to the momentum with a steal and score, and excellent ball movement led to multiple open looks, including back-to-back threes from Douglas to close out the first half as the Wave would lead the Panthers after one, 46-34.
Chris Jace opened the second quarter with an and-one opportunity and shortly after injected the Wave's away supporter section with energy following a ferocious slam. Douglas continued to light it up from beyond the arc, sinking consecutive threes, while Saquon Roberts added a triple himself to push the lead to 20 points.
Abdoul Toure and
Kevar Samuels rounded out the scoring efforts with timely contributions, including free throws and put-backs as they would convincingly defeat the Panthers, 94-71.
The Wave put up a season high 94-points and have now won 3 in a row but more notably are playing their best basketball of the season coming down the stretch. They'll travel to Suffolk County next to take on the Sharks.
