Suffolk, NY - KCC Sophomore Tamila Latif-Zade has captured the 2017 Region XV Women's Tennis Singles crown, defeating Gabby Vailant of Suffolk CC 6,1 6,0 in the finals. This has been a special season for Tamila after finishing second at last years Region XV championship Tamila only dropped one game this entire season to capture the top flight singles title. She also named MVP for the Region.

In the doubles, Tamila teamed up with  Kamilla Shulanova and placed second losing in the finals . Kamilla, just a freshman on this years team also finished second in the Number 2 singles competition losing to  Emily Portal of Suffolk in the Final 6,0 7,5.

In the team competition it was a battle between the Lady wave and the Lady Tigers of F.I.T, with F.I.T edging the lady waves by one match to take the second place in the team competition with the lady waves settling for third.

This has been one of the  most successful Women's Tennis season for coach Max Dubov and the Lady Waves.
