Box Score
Brooklyn, NY - The Kingsborough Wave have found their footing as of late, winners in 2 of their last 3 contests, looking to win their 2nd straight and make it 3 of 4.

In the 1st half, LaGuardia got off to a 6-0 lead early before Chris Jace put a halt to that and the Wave would go on to score 7 unanswered of their own. After that it was back-and-forth early consisting of 4-lead changes. This was until Abdoul Toure got the bench and home crowd into it after hitting a difficult and-one play. This led to the Wave being able to gain momentum and extend their lead, Kevar Samuels had a huge block that Torian Douglas was able to take to the other end for an easy two. Phillip Khobot had a good day in the paint on both ends, making it difficult for Red Hawk defenders to enter and put up points in the paint defensively, and strong moves in the post offensively. Chris Jace had a nice finish to the first half powering through two Red Hawks defenders to end the half as the Wave would
take a 38-28 lead into the half.

To open the 2nd half, Torian Douglas hit a three that would set the tone for the half. Kevar Samuels commanded the paint as he had rebounds on both sides of the floor, as well as denying Red Hawks at the rim. Chris Jace was phenomenal inside, making his way past two defenders to get to the rim for two. Jame Elder really brought the house down when he hit a three to make it a 20-point lead for the Wave. The Red Hawks did make it a little too close for comfort down the stretch, enter Kevar Samuels who was able to close this game out with a monstrous block and an and-one play to officially put the game away for the Wave as
they'd win by a final of, 84-72.

The Wave have now won 3 of their last four games and after beginning the season 0-4, they sit at 3-5. The Wave will look to keep it rolling as they'll head to Queensborough to take on the Tigers next Tuesday at 7:30PM.
