Box Score The Kingsborough Wave returned from the finals week break as they headed up to Massachusetts for a two-game road trip beginning in Northern Essex taking on the Knights.

To begin the game the Knights, score 6 unanswered points, but Kevar Samuels was able to get the Wave on the board looking to kickstart the offense. Torian Douglas and Chris Jace followed Samuels' bucket with a pair of putbacks for 4 more points to cut the Knights lead to 13-8. Abdoul Toure stepped up with back-to-back finishes, including a beautiful fadeaway shot.

Angel Laureano had a beautiful dime to Phillip Khobot who finished it in the paint. The Wave were playing a game of catch-up as the Knights offense kept applying pressure by continuously scoring, but Torian Douglas flipped the momentum as he hit a 3 to cut it to a 4-point game as the Knights would call a timeout. The Knights towards the end of the half were looking to press the issue by taking a double-digit lead into half, as Abdoul Toure was able to manage a steal and score prior to the half ending. For the second consecutive game, The Wave were going head-to-head with a ranked opponent as they trailed the Knights heading into half, 35-43.

To open the second half Phillip Khobot scored back-to-back buckets for the Wave trimming the deficit making it a, 40-45 game. For the Wave this is where things would head south as the Knights would go on a 14-1 run taking a 59-41 lead, putting the Wave on the back foot. Torian Douglas was finally able to stop the bleeding as he would hit a three followed by a score inside from Khobot to draw it closer. The Knights really found their groove in the second half extending their lead all the way up to 26-points at one point. In true Wave fashion, they didn't give up they would gain momentum following quick scores by Toure, Douglas and Oliver Reyes. The Wave would cut the lead to 12 with under 2 minutes remaining. Wave trying to score quickly, as Reyes would attempt a three but was fouled while in the act of shooting and would get three shots from the line, making two to cut the lead all the way down to 7. Despite the late push, the Wave couldn't overcome the Knights' earlier run, which saw them lead by as much ss 26 points in the second half as they would fall by a final of, 88-79.

The Wave managed to hang around and comeback on the #12 ranked team who has now won 40-consecutive home games. The Wave will be back in action on Thursday night as they wrap up their first half of the season at Bunker Hill as they take on the Bulldogs.
