Family, friends, and members of the KCC community gathered on May 7 to celebrate the naming of the Rachelle and Barry Goldsmith Tennis Facility at Brooklyn's Kingsborough Community College.

The Goldsmiths have been tireless advocates for student-athletes throughout their remarkable combined 77 years at Kingsborough. Rachelle, a longtime professor and current director of the KCC Honors Program, is also an inaugural member of the KCC Athletics Hall of Fame. Barry has been a championship-winning tennis coach at Kingsborough and for 33 years has also taught as an adjunct professor in the College's Health and Physical Education. Coach Goldsmith was recently inducted into the National Junior College Athletic Associate Hall of Fame.

The Goldsmiths' naming of the tennis facility was made possible through their substantial gift to the KCC Athletics WAVE Fund, which supports Kingsborough's athletic programs and the enrichment of its student-athletes. The Tennis Facility will serve as a testament to their generosity and dedication to Kingsborough and its students.
