New York, NY – The Lady wave season came ended last night with a first round lost in the Region XV tournament to the #3 BMCC 75-60. The loss brings an end to one successful season from first year Coach Brendon Bain and his coaching staff.

Lavaya Clarke had another double double for the lady wave with 19 points and 11 rebounds, Daisya Drayton 19 points 3 rebounds and Tania Hamed 12 points and 14 rebounds. The Lady wave were 11-16 (68%) from the free throw but committed 21 turnovers, which BMCC converted into 21 points.

The Lady wave playing the second half of the season with only six players was successful in securing the #3 seed in the CUNYAC Conference tournament and the #6 seed in the Regional tournament.  The Lady wave graduates three of its starter included Rookie of the year and Second team All –Region XV player Daisya Drayton, Lavaya Clarke and Ardita Shaptafovic.

Coach Bain reflecting on the season said even though we came up short in the tournament he is extremely proud of what this group was able to accomplish given the adversities that arise during the season, they did not quit and played game in game out and as a coach that is all you can asked of your players.
