Kingsborough Women's Volleyball team saw their winning streak come to an end after losing to 3-1 to Queensborough in a very close matchup.
The Wave entered this weekend with a 7 game winning streak, before their first dual matches against Ulster CC and Dutchess on Saturday October 5 at Dutchess County. Kingsborough dominated Ulster CC in three sets (3-0) before defeating the host team Dutchess CC in four (3-1) which pushed their streak to 9 Wins.
After their two wins on Saturday Kingsborough travelled to Manhattan the following day to compete on their second dual matches of the weekend. The Wave played the Panthers of BMCC who they defeated 3-0.
In their second game, Kinsborough played against the Queensborough Tigers in a potential CUNYAC Finals rematch. The two teams played a very even contest where the score remained very close through the sets. Queensborough won the first set 20-25, but Kinsgborough would strike back in set #2 25-22. In the third set the Tiger would regain the match advantage after a 25-22 win over the Wave. Queensborough would close out Kingsborough in a very competitive fourth 27-25.
The Kingborough Women's Volleyball team will be back in action on Tuesday October 8 against Suffolk Community College.
