Box Score Brooklyn, NY - The #8 Kingsborough Lady Wave opened the second half with a ranked match-up as they'd host #9 Onondaga Lady Lazers. In the ?rst the Lazers got oG to a fast start by knocking down a three off-rip. Tionna Davis would respond with a three of her own to tie it up. Zakieya Williams and Endya Greene followed that up with scores of their own but in the ?rst for the Wave it was all about the three-ball as Davis would add another and Williams would knock down two threes of her own as the Wave would go on a 23-3 run at one point, Onondaga would ?nd momentum late in the ?rst but still trailed the Wave, 23-12.

Onondaga built on that late ?rst quarter surge behind better defensive pressure and would cut the lead all the way down to 3 at one point. The Wave in a scoring drought go to their leading scorer, Endya Greene who would force her way into the paint and get the points and the foul and would convert on the and-one attempt. Tionna Davis would continue her strong start as she would also score a tough basket in the paint vs a stout Lazer interior defense. Cierra Grant also would contribute offensively as the Wave would have their lead cut down to 5-points as they would lead at the half, 34-29.

In the third quarter, it was the Wave capitalizing on momentum from the previous quarter as they would get off to a 11-2 run to open the quarter. Endya Greene was a problem for the Lazer defense
hitting on jumpers and scoring in the paint. Jayden Vega's relentless rebounding would be a key factor to extending the Wave lead. Tionna Davis also was a key contributor in the third as she
would do it all by scoring in the paint and converting at the line as the Wave would take a 53-42 lead into the ?nal frame.

The Lady Wave sensed the end was near and their top 3 scorers in Greene, Williams and Davis were able to put this game away. Greene's presence inside the paint allowed Williams and Davis to drive in the paint and shoot on the perimeter and in the end that was too much for the Lady Lazers defense to handle as the Lady Wave would take down another ranked opponent by a ?nal of, 75-61.

The Lady Wave have won yet again and extend their school record win streak to 15-games in a row and improve to 17-1 on the season. The Lady Wave will be back at it Thursday evening as they host the Queensborough Lady Tigers.
